Macculloch Hall Historical Museum welcomes all visitors to its historic house and garden. We are working to make the museum accessible for everyone, however, at this time full tours of the house and garden require traversing stairs and uneven outdoor surfaces.
Parking
We do not have a formal parking lot, however, vehicles with official permits may use two designated spaces provided in the Museum driveway. The driveway is hard-packed gravel and as such, its surface can be uneven. The driveway can also be used to drop-off or pick-up.
Visitors with Limited Mobility
The first floor of the house and Schoolroom Gallery are wheelchair accessible. Wheelchair entry into the Museum is via a ramp from the driveway into the Schoolroom Gallery.
The full tour of Macculloch Hall Historical Museum takes about 45 minutes and requires brief periods of movement and standing. Visitors in wheelchairs can tour the first floor of the house. Moving through the rooms may be difficult depending on the size of the wheelchair. Access to the lower level and second floor period rooms is via stairs. Visitors with limited mobility can view the lower level and second floor period rooms through large format professional photographs in consultation with one of the museum’s tour guides.
Macculloch Hall Historical Museum does not have an elevator, nor is it equipped with lifts.
Restrooms
A restroom is located on the second floor of the Museum and accessed via stairs. The restroom in the Education Center is accessible by two stone steps into the building.
Garden Access
The garden is accessible through the driveway gate. The walk up the gentle grade of the driveway is over a hard-packed gravel surface. The garden contains a variety of surfaces and levels. The garden lawn, though level, can be uneven.
