About the Historic House Tour
Step inside some of Morristown's most extraordinary private homes on Sunday, October 4, 2026, from 11:00 AM to 5:00 PM during Macculloch Hall Historical Museum's Historic District House Tour, a rare opportunity offered only once every two years. This year's self-guided tour features seven beautiful private residences, a featured garden, the historic Kellogg Club, and Macculloch Hall Historical Museum, creating a rich and varied experience that celebrates the architecture, landscapes, and history of Morristown's Historic District.
Begin your day at Macculloch Hall Historical Museum, where you'll receive your guidebook before exploring the Museum's 216-year-old historic house, galleries, and gardens. From there, enjoy a leisurely stroll through the Historic District, visiting each featured property in any order you choose, with every location conveniently within walking distance of the Museum.
Listed on the National Register of Historic Places, the district showcases more than two centuries of architectural design, from elegant Georgian and Classical influences to the ornate beauty of Queen Anne Victorian homes. As Macculloch Hall Historical Museum's largest fundraiser, every ticket purchased directly supports the Museum's mission to preserve its historic house and gardens, care for its nationally significant collections, and provide year-round educational programs that inspire learners of all ages.
Advance tickets are $75. Tickets purchased on the day of the tour are $85 (available at the door, subject to availability).
